What actually arrived on Netflix in March 2023

This page once advertised a Powerpuff Girls live-action reboot and an Office reunion that did not exist. Here is the March 2023 slate we can stand behind.

An earlier version of this page told readers that March 2023 would bring a live-action Powerpuff Girls reboot, Black Widow, The Matrix Resurrections, and The Office: Reunion Special. None of those were March 2023 Netflix additions. The Witcher: Blood Origin had already premiered in December 2022. Publishing invented calendars is how a movie-picker site looks like a content farm.

This rewrite only uses titles we could check against Entertainment Weekly, IGN, and Rotten Tomatoes. Availability still split by country. Set region on TV Roulette before you treat any of this as playable.

What we would have spun

Luther: The Fallen Sun (March 10) — Idris Elba back as John Luther, after a short theatrical window. This is the March movie we would have wanted on movies + high quality. It is grim. It is finite. It is not Murder Mystery 2. Do not let a mixed group “surprise” into it if someone asked for a rom-com.

Shadow and Bone season 2 (March 16) — only as a TV continuation. If nobody had watched season 1, the honest move was to start there, not to spin mid-Grishaverse.

You season 4, part 2 (March 9) — the back half of a season that started in February. Same rule. A part-two is a terrible random result.

Murder Mystery 2 (March 31) — Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Movies, comedy, high quality if the room wanted easy. It is the closer for people who did not want Luther.

Licensed March titles that were actually useful on the wheel included The Hangover films and the Riddick films. Those are fine high-quality or mid-quality movie spins. They are not news, and they do not need a poster collage.

What this page must not claim again

• The Powerpuff Girls live-action reboot — not a March 2023 Netflix series.
• Black Widow — a 2021 Marvel theatrical film, not a March 2023 Netflix premiere.
• The Matrix Resurrections — already on the service in many regions well before March 2023; it was not a late-March event.
• The Office reunion special — did not land on Netflix that month.

If a monthly post cannot verify a name, it should leave the name out. We would rather publish eight true sentences than a fake “most anticipated” list.

How we would have used the wheel that March

Pick the mood first. Heavy cop movie: wait for the 10th, movies, high quality (Luther). Fantasy homework: TV, and only if season 1 is done (Shadow and Bone). Sofa comedy: wait for the 31st (Murder Mystery 2) or take The Hangover from the licensed pile.

Two nos, then change genre or quality, not the country. How a spin works.
